If you are going by upfront costs, then Car Rentals are best way to handle your transfers for returns. Of course you'll have to consider fuel costs and insurance options. That being said, rental cars provide significantly more flexibility.

For one way transport options, AirTran is cheapest but only if you are going to Varsity Lakes station. For both Shuttle Buses and & Trains, the price goes up for each passenger you add, whilst there are are no passenger fees for rental cars (provided each passenger has a seatbelt).
