The Kahului Airport in Hawaii's island of Maui is one of the states busiest regional airports. With many flights coming in from Honolulu, the airport largely serves transiting travellers. While currently serving some international flights directly, this airport may eventually become a main international hub in Hawaii. Renting a car is one of the best and most popular options for seeing the area. Public transport is available, however if you're wanting to have a really good look around, you won't be able to access everywhere using only public transport.

Easy!
