Kansas City Airport has a few points of interest- unlike many airports of its size, it is strictly civilian, with no Air National Guard. It was built after the Great Flood of 1951. It is located directly across from the Red Crown Tourist Court where Bonnie and Clyde engaged in a shootout in 1933, resulting in the death of Clyde's brother.
It has 3 runways and 3 terminals, which are shaped as rings with short-term parking lots in the middle. This makes for a very short distance to walk between your car and your gate. The airport is on a main highway, and there is one public bus service that services it.
