Kansas City Airport car rental

Kansas City International Airport (IATA: MCI) was originally named Mid-Continent International Airport. It is located just outside of Kansas City in Missouri, US. The airport has been highly rated amongst US airports by various organisations- the U.S News and World Report ranked it the "3rd least miserable" in 2008.

Kansas City Airport has a few points of interest- unlike many airports of its size, it is strictly civilian, with no Air National Guard. It was built after the Great Flood of 1951. It is located directly across from the Red Crown Tourist Court where Bonnie and Clyde engaged in a shootout in 1933, resulting in the death of Clyde's brother.

It has 3 runways and 3 terminals, which are shaped as rings with short-term parking lots in the middle. This makes for a very short distance to walk between your car and your gate. The airport is on a main highway, and there is one public bus service that services it.

Airlines operating out of Kansas City Airport:
  • Air Canada Express
  • JazzAir
  • AirTran Airways

  • Continental Airlines
  • Delta Airlines
  • Frontier Airlines
  • SeaPort Airlines
