Guadalajara International Airport (IATA: GDL) is also known as Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla International Airport- named after the man who began the mexican war of independence from Spain. Open since 1966, it is south of the city centre of Guadalajara, Mexico. With two runways and two terminals, it is Mexico's third busiest airport. Airlines fly from there to Mexico, central America and the US.
For passengers, the airport has banks, restaurants and shopping facilities.
