Welcome to Milwaukee, err Cleveland? Rooftop sign close to Milwaukee Airport

Does Vancouver have the most beautiful airport in the World?

I was reflecting recently of some some of the nicest airports I've been too - and I recall Vancouver's Airport being one of the loveliest. Stepping out the airplane - the airport instantly welcomes you to sounds and sights you would find in the Canadian wilderness. Unfortunately my experience was marred by overzealous security! Despite that, its still quite a lovely airport. Here is a video I've found of the Airport - let me know what you think!

If you are spending some time in British Columbia, conveniently book Vancouver Airport car rental directly at the airport!

Airport Waiting Games for those long delays and layovers

So you are at the Airport and some unpronounceable volcano erupted delaying your flight. If you are looking for some waiting games that don't involving electronic devices - here's a list that might be helpful (list inspired from Metafilter)

Cards, Cards, Cards - If you travel a lot, you know that cards are not only a handy time killer, but also a great way to socialise. Whether its Solitaire, Go Fish, Euchre to gambling games such as Poker or Twenty One - cards are great to have fun while waiting for a flight.
If you didn't bring any cards, there are still plenty of other options:

The Question Game -  This requires at least two players. This player begins  by asking a question (eg: "Would you like to play questions?"). The second player must responds to the question with another question (e.g. "How do you play that?"). Each player must quickly continue the conversation by using only questions—no hesitation, statements or pauses. Read more here

The Name Game - One player starts with a name eg, Patrick Swayze, the second player responds with another name whose first name starts with first letter of the previous last name, eg Sheryl Crow, then next player continues (eg. Candice Bergman).

Rock Paper Scissors - This game is so universal it doesn't really need a description. But what about variations (Cow, Lake, Bomb - which uses sounds effects).

Guessing Games - such as Botticelli and 20 questions. Get creative and add your own variations on rules such as passing the the answer on a turned over note to other player who pastes it on their foreword without looking at the answer (eg. from Inglorious Bastards).

Dollar Bill Poker - Works best with US currency - poker game played off of the serial number of US dollars bills.

Ghost - This is a word game where words are completed by other players. The goal is to continually be create a word, without having said word be made on one's turn. Variations include superghost and cheddar gorge

Lastly if you want a no-hassle car rental booked directly from the airport - check out our Airport Car Rental Site for great deals!

Reno-Tahoe International Airport (IATA: RNO) is a joint civil-military public airport located three nautical miles (6 km) southeast of the central business district of Reno, a city in Washoe County, Nevada, United States. The airport serves the Reno metropolitan area, western Nevada, and parts of eastern California and is the closest commercial airport to the vacation and ski resort destination of Lake Tahoe.

Reno Airport is the second busiest commercial airport in the state of Nevada after McCarran International Airport in Las Vegas.

The Nevada Air National Guard maintains the 152nd Airlift Wing to the southwest of the airport's main terminal.

The airport used to be the hub of Reno Air, a now-defunct medium sized airline that had offered non-stop MD-80 and MD-90 service to many cities, until Reno Air was bought and taken over by American Airlines and eventually completely disposed of in 2001. Reno Air's first flight was on July 1, 1992, and its last flight was on August 30, 1999.

The passenger terminal is named after the late US Senator Howard Cannon. The main lobby of the terminal contains an exhibit featuring the bust of Nevada State Senator (and Nevada State Senate Majority Leader) William J. "Bill" Raggio. Raggio is described in the exhibit as being "The Father of the Airport Authority."

Public transportation to and from the airport is provided by RTC Ride bus #19.

Here is some information about Charlotte County Airport from Wikipedia:
Charlotte County Airport (IATA: PGD) is located 3 mi (5 km) southeast of the central business district of Punta Gorda, in Charlotte County, Florida, United States. The airport is owned by the Charlotte County Airport Authority.

Charlotte County Airport has mainly been used anywhere from deplanements of single engine planes to small jet aircraft and is home to the Florida International Air Show, an annual event which has featured various military demonstration teams, such as the United States Navy's Flight Demonstration Squadron, the "Blue Angels"; the "U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds"; and the United States Army's "Sky Soldiers" (173rd Airborne Brigade Combat Team) Cobra helicopter team.

The airport has serviced several commercial airline tenants throughout its existence, but saw no major commercial operations after the early 1980s in the aftermath of the Airline Deregulation Act of 1978. Commercial operations again commenced at PGD in 2007 when both Skybus Airlines and DayJet began providing flights to and from the airport. The larger of the two airlines, Skybus, ceased operations on April 5, 2008, citing a lack of monetary capital to sustain further service. DayJet followed suit on September 19, 2008, citing similar reasons.

Beginning on November 22, 2008, Direct Air, operating brand new Airbus A319 and A320 aircraft from Sir Richard Branson's US airline venture Virgin America, initiated significant commercial service out of PGD, providing a total of eight flights a week from the airport.

On December 2, 2008 low-cost airline Allegiant Air announced it will open a new focus city at PGD. On March 5, 2009 Allegiant started service with McDonnell Douglas MD-80 series aircraft to Greenville, SC and on the following day, March 6, began service to McGhee Tyson Airport in Knoxville, TN. Frankfurt Airport Car Rental

If you're looking for a deal on Frankfurt Airport Car Rental go to CarRentalFrankfurtAirport.net

Here is some information about Frankfurt Airport from Wikipedia:
Frankfurt am Main Airport (IATA: FRA), known in German as Flughafen Frankfurt am Main or Rhein-Main-Flughafen is a major international airport located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany, 12 km (7.5 mi) southwest of the city centre. The airport is run by Fraport and is by far the busiest airport by passenger traffic in Germany. It is the third busiest in Europe and the ninth busiest worldwide in 2008. The airport serves the most international destinations in the world and is the busiest airport in Europe by cargo traffic. The southern side of the airport, Rhein-Main Air Base, was a major airlift base for the United States from 1947 until late 2005, when it was acquired by Fraport.

The airport is directly located in the Frankfurt/Rhine-Main region, Germany's second largest metropolitan region, which itself has a central location in the densely populated region of the west-central European megalopolis. Thereby, along with a strong rail and motorway connection, the airport serves as a major transportation hub to the greater region, less than two hours by ground to Cologne, the Ruhr Area, and Stuttgart.

There are plans to expand Frankfurt Airport with a fourth runway and a new Terminal 3. First modifications to the airport to make it Airbus A380 compatible are completed, including the first building of a large A380 maintenance facility near the former U.S. Air Base. The work on the fourth runway has been delayed several times due to environmental concerns, but received zoning approval in December 2007. The runway should go into operation in 2011.
